How it work
● Pressure Detection: The transducer is connected to a catheter or needle inserted into a patient's artery (e.g., radial artery). The blood pressure exerts force on a diaphragm inside the transducer.
● Signal Conversion: The diaphragm's movement is converted into an electrical signal using strain gauges or piezoelectric elements.
● Signal Processing: The electrical signal is amplified, processed, and displayed on a monitor as a continuous blood pressure waveform (systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial pressure).
Instruction for use
● Turn on the monitor before connecting the pressure transducer.
● Use disinfection measures to open the package, and confirm that all interfaces are securely sealed and accessories such as three-way stopcocks are in good working condition.
● All the ports of the stopcock should be covered with threaded caps with hole. After the pressure transducer is filled with heparin saline solution and the air bubbles are exhausted, replace the caps with non-hole threaded caps.
● Connect the pressure transducer to the monitor, and adjust the monitor to zero.
● Flush the tube with heparin saline, and drain the air in the tube.
● After all the tubes are filled with heparin saline, connect the pressure transducer to the human body.
