Product Features
● Includes radiopaque markers for visibility under X-ray or fluoroscopy, ensuring accurate placement.
● Features one or two Dacron cuffs to promote tissue ingrowth, securing the catheter and reducing the risk of infection or dislodgement.
● The peritoneal catheter is indicated for acute and chronic peritoneal dialysis and intraperitoneal chemotherapy.
● Peritoneal dialysis catheters are made of translucent silicone tubing containing radiopaque stripe.
● A variety of lengths and cuff configurations are available in straight, couled, and Swan Neck catheter styles.

Instruction for use
● The catheter is surgically placed into the peritoneal cavity, usually under local or general anesthesia.
● Sterile dialysis fluid is infused into the peritoneal cavity through the catheter.
● The fluid remains in the cavity for a prescribed period (usually 4-6 hours), allowing waste and excess fluid to pass from the blood into the dialysate.
● The used dialysate, now containing waste products, is drained out of the peritoneal cavity and discarded.
● This process is repeated multiple times a day, depending on the type of PD.
