COMPONENTS
● Drainage tube is composed of drainage tube, connecting tube, dilator, scalpel, guidewire, puncture needle, syringe, three-way stopcock, catheter fixer and catheter fixing clip.
Instruction for use
Preparation:
● Gather the catheter set, sterile supplies, and imaging equipment.
● Clean and sterilize the insertion site.
Insertion:
● Use imaging guidance to locate the target cavity.
● Insert the catheter using a trocar or introducer.
● Deploy the winged tip by gently pulling back on the catheter.
Securing the Catheter:
● Suture or secure the catheter to the skin.
● Connect the proximal end to a drainage bag or collection system.
Post-Insertion Care:
● Monitor drainage output and catheter function.
● Keep the insertion site clean and dry.
Removal:
● Gently collapse the winged tip using the locking mechanism (if applicable).
● Slowly withdraw the catheter while monitoring for any complications.
