Hydrophilic Coated Guidewire

Medical Hydrophilic Coated Guidewire is a specialized medical device designed to facilitate smooth and efficient navigation through blood vessels, ducts, or other anatomical structures during minimally invasive procedures. The hydrophilic coating becomes extremely slippery when wet, significantly reducing friction and allowing for easier passage through narrow or tortuous pathways. This type of guidewire is widely used in interventional radiology, cardiology, urology, and other medical fields where precise and atraumatic navigation is critical.

    Product Features

    ● Hydrophilic coating guide wire has good flexibility and is not easy to bend.
    ● The hydrophilic coated layer is good lubricity, easy to insert smoothly.
    ● For non-cardiovascular surgery and urological surgery.
    ● Includes radiopaque tips for visibility under fluoroscopy or X-ray imaging.
    ● Made from nitinol material, providing strength and flexibility.

    Material and structure

    ●  Nitinol core wire +PU jacket + hydrophilic coating(PVP).

    Instruction for use

    ● Inspect packaging for sterility and expiry.
    ● Gather equipment (guidewire, introducer sheath, imaging tools, saline/heparin solution).
    ● Prep the patient and establish access.
    ● Activate the hydrophilic coating by immersing the guidewire in saline or heparinized solution.
    ● Insert introducer sheath or catheter.
    ● Insert the guidewire and advance it gently under imaging guidance.
    ● Navigate to the target site, avoiding excessive force.
    ● Use the guidewire to deliver catheters, stents, or other devices.
    ● Remove the guidewire carefully after the procedure.

    PRODUCT APPLICATION

    ● Vascular Interventions: Used in angioplasty, stent placement, and other vascular procedures.
    ● Urological Procedures: Navigates through the urinary tract for stone removal or stent placement.
    ● Biliary and Pancreatic Interventions: Assists in accessing and treating blockages in the bile or pancreatic ducts.
    ● Gastrointestinal Procedures: Used in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) or other GI interventions.
    ● Neurological Interventions: Supports navigation in neurovascular procedures.
